Session 2: Jennifer McRae – How to Hire Temporary Foreign Workers while Ensuring Compliance with Immigration Laws

Jennifer will discuss Canadian immigration matters when hiring temporary foreign workers. Specifically addressing employer compliance reviews and inspections as it was one of the government's primary focuses in 2018. In addition, with the legalization of cannabis in October, 2018 cross-border travel for businesses is an important topic for employers who regularly send employees to the U.S. for business purposes. She will reveal the risks associated with cannabis use and the dos and don'ts for entry into the U.S.
