Mali Eylem Görev Gücü (Financial Action Task Force – “FATF”) tarafından Türkiye’nin suç gelirlerinin aklanması, terörizmin finansmanı ve kitle imha silahlarının yayılmasının finansmanıyla mücadele sistemini değerlendiren 5. Tur Karşılıklı Değerlendirme Raporu (“Rapor”), 23.09.2026 tarihinde yayımlanmıştır.

The Financial Action Task Force (“FATF”) published Türkiye’s 5th Round Mutual Evaluation Report (the “Report”) on 23.09.2026, assessing Türkiye’s framework for combating money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing.

The two changes pull in opposite directions within the same know-your-customer framework: one tightens controls for specific persons, the other widens the room for lighter checks in low-risk transactions. Banks, payment and e-money institutions, insurers, pension companies and other obliged parties under Law No. 5549 on the Prevention of Laundering Proceeds of Crime will need to address both at once.
