Ward and Smith attorney Mary Catherine Baker has been appointed to the Wake Forest University School of Law Rose Council for a three-year term.
Named for Professor Emeritus Charley Rose, the Rose Council is Wake Forest Law’s primary young alumni organization. Its members work to strengthen connections among recent graduates and the law school through volunteer service, event participation, mentorship, professional engagement, and philanthropic support.
As a member of the Council, Mary Catherine will help Wake Forest Law remain connected to emerging developments in the legal profession while supporting opportunities for students and alumni to build meaningful professional relationships. The Council also assists the School of Law’s fundraising efforts and encourages alumni participation in the Wake Forest Law community.
Mary Catherine earned her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2025. She is based in Ward and Smith’s Asheville, North Carolina office, where her practice focuses on litigation across a broad range of civil matters, including trusts and estates litigation, guardianship proceedings, real estate and landlord-tenant conflicts, and personal injury.
