Effective January 1, 2017, the maximum minor injury amount was adjusted by 1.3%, to $5,020. This increase is in accordance with the Minor Injury Regulation, following a recent bulletin sent out by the Superintendent of Insurance. This new amount is applicable to minor injuries resulting from automobile accidents that occur in Alberta on or after January 1, 2017.
