The National Science Foundation renewed $45 million for the Future Use of Energy in Louisiana initiative, building on $15 million in prior awards to support use inspired research, technology commercialization, and workforce development over the next three years. - These initiatives build on Louisiana’s existing energy and infrastructure strengths.
Together, the Framework and FUEL leverage Louisiana’s transportation infrastructure, skilled workforce, established energy regulatory programs, and existing nuclear generation footprint, positioning the State to attract future nuclear investment and federal tax incentives.
