Indonesia Waives Copyright Registration Fees For Songs And Music
Indonesia has eliminated copyright registration fees for songs and musical works, reducing costs from $11 to zero in an effort to build a comprehensive national music database. While the policy is expected to significantly benefit domestic copyright owners by encouraging active registration, foreign rights holders may see limited practical advantages as they continue to face enforcement challenges in the country.

Amendments To Indonesia’s Trade Regulation - Government Regulation No. 3 Of 2026 On Amendment To Government Regulation No. 29 Of 2021 On The Implementation Of The Trade Sector
Government of the Republic of Indonesia has amended Government Regulation No. 29 of 2021 on the Implementation of the Trade Sector (“GR 29/2021”) through the issuance of Government Regulation No. 3 of 2026 (“GR 3/2026”). In particular, GR 3/2026 was issued and came into force on 15 January 2026.
