Colombia's INVIMA has issued Resolution 2026043704 establishing guidelines for utilizing regulatory decisions from other jurisdictions in the evaluation of medicines. This framework introduces reliance mechanisms that allow the agency to consider foreign regulatory assessments while maintaining its independent decision-making authority and without altering existing Colombian regulatory requirements.

On November 25, the Colombian Senate's constitutional commission voted in favor a bill that would legalize recreational cannabis use in Colombia.

Consequently, judges will have to study carefully this case and determine whether the non- profit organization arguments are solid or well-founded, which will not be a simple task.
