Vanaf 31 december 2026 moeten alle VME's in Vlaanderen beschikken over een asbestinventarisattest voor gemene delen van gebouwen ouder dan 2001. Deze nieuwe verplichting geldt zowel los van enige overdracht als bij verkoop van een privatief deel, waarbij zowel het individuele als het gemeenschappelijke asbestattest vereist zijn. Syndici en VME's moeten nu actie ondernemen om blokkering van toekomstige transacties te voorkomen en aansprakelijkheidsrisico's te beperken.

As part of the modernisation of the Belgian Civil Code, the Belgian legislator is currently reforming the law on special contracts, which will be codified in the future Book 7.
