A French draft law aims to strengthen the fight against organised crime, money laundering, and corruption. Its objective is to establish the foundations of a new approach to better combat financial crime, which permeates all forms of criminal activity. It proposes, in particular, to broaden the scope of entities subject to the anti-corruption obligations set out in the Sapin II law, reinforce the role of the French Anti-corruption Agency (AFA),to extend the anti-money laundering obligations of regulated entities while enhancing their supervision, as well as increased protection for whistleblowers.
